Our office is the unbroken evolution of two real estate businesses starting with the opening of the then separate brands of Copas from the 1930’s and the Newnham agency in the 1940’s followed by their subsequent merger in 1973 and in 1983 joining the First National group. The business is now owned and managed by Doug Trenham who has been in Real Estate for over 40 years, starting in Victoria from the inception of the First National group.

Comprehensive ongoing training

You will hear this from everyone but what does it mean? It means that they will send you to a few days of training once in a while? Usually after you have struggled for many months to prove your endurance but exhausted your energy and bank account.

Our approach is entirely different.

We have a rigorous selection process (more about that later) so if we choose to offer you a role in our organisation we expect you to succeed and we back our expectation with a training process at our cost that starts on day One.

You will be participating in a structured, proven method provided by the Pittard Group. You won’t be sitting around waiting for someone to have a spare minute to explain something or letting you suffer through a process of trial and error.

Doug will also work closely with you through every part of the job to coach and support you as you learn and perfect your skills. You will then be partnered with a number of our experienced agents at regular intervals to show you a number of different sales styles so you can combine your growing knowledge with practical examples and define the style that comes most naturally to you.

In addition to this extensive startup training process we run ongoing sales specific training bi-weekly for the entire team. This ensures we all retain our focus and gives us a way of sharing our immediate experience including changing market issues to achieve the timeliest sales for each of our vendors. It is this continual focus on selling process and expertise that puts us ahead of the competition and has ensured our longevity.

A secure salary while you learn

We offer a guaranteed salary of $52,000 as well as a bonus system that allows for unlimited earnings.

Selling real estate is a career to be crafted with learning and practise that can take months and years to reach excellence. Unlike other offices we don’t put you on a token salary that is really prepayment of commission from the future. We know it takes time to learn these skills and we don’t want you to start selling with a growing burden of debt.
