Dreaming of a real estate career? Join a business with a young dynamic leadership, coupled with extensive industry experience ready to help you grow!
THE ROLE
We are looking for a full time Receptionist to join our beautiful office in Erskineville and progress over a 1-3 year period to become a successful real estate agent in your own right. To start, you will be the public face of the Park Properties brand as our Receptionist. As time permits you will also be helping our entire team with a variety of administrative tasks in property sales.
Is This You?
- Are you wanting a career in real estate but not ready to become a real estate agent yet?
- Maybe you are already working in a real estate office but wondering if that is the best environment to achieve your goals?
- Or maybe you are a professional working in a different industry thinking about real estate selling and want to learn from one of the best rather than struggle alone.
- Or maybe are a professional who enjoys the whirl and excitement of working with a sales team and having regular interaction with the public while still having the security of a salary.
Wherever you are now you won’t find a better local career opportunity than what’s on offer here, with the friendly and energetic team at Park Properties Erskineville. This may well be the best opportunity you will see in real estate if you wish to move into sales and need time to learn.
Why spend all that time commuting through Sydney traffic to just another job when you can have daily challenge and a clear future with us. Work near where you live. We do and we love it!
A Career Path With Market Specific Training
We don’t just make it up as we go – we have a plan for success that is geared around a minimum two year process of starting with a focus on reception and then progressively taking on other sales support work. This way when you choose your next role with us you will be able to transition with confidence and launch a sales career that can take you as far as your own ambitions will reach.
The role of Receptionist is incredibly important in a real estate agency as the first link in the sales process as you are the first contact for all our promotions enquiries. How you engage with the public is a key element in our success. Our current Receptionist is progressing along our career path into a full time sales support role so is still here to teach you all the front of house activities.
From your start on reception you will be exposed to every facet of our business. You will gradually be given tasks to support the sales process of the existing sales team and mentored by our principal Melissah McCaffery in gaining proficiency in each. When you’re ready you will start to participate directly in sales activities, including phone follow-ups with buyers, assisting at opens and on auction days.
Before moving to your first solo sales role we will help you learn how to develop your own leads. Successful agents become successful through developing leads – there is no shortcut to this process; no lead, no sale. That is why we work so hard to develop your skills in developing leads. There is also a healthy incentive package to support this when you are ready.
Is there a better way to build a real estate career than this? We don’t think so!
WHO ARE WE? WHY JOIN US?
Our business
Park Properties was opened in 1998 by the developer of the Sydney Park Village and Huntly Green complexes to provide onsite support for all sales and rental needs. We are the only agency in walking distance of the extensive residential developments around Sydney Park and the new Ashbury estate. This puts us in an incredible position as the local “go-to” real estate professionals for an incredibly large owner and tenant population.
Why drive into Newtown, or beyond when there is an established local agent within a few minutes’ walk of your front door?
We have a beautiful, modern, professionally appointed office on the Mitchell St frontage of Sydney Park Village and are one of six retail units. Like other tenants we have full use of the complex facilities including tennis courts, a pool and parking.
Professional Leadership
Melissah McCaffery is a second generation real estate agent who grew up running errands since high school and working on reception on Saturdays in her mother Julie McCaffery’s agency on the NSW South Coast. At the end of school she became the full time Receptionist, then a Property Manager, before the family moved to Sydney in 2003. Both women then continued their real estate careers in different Sydney agencies.
Melissa joined Park Properties in 2006 as a Property Manager and became the Licensee a few years later and bought the business in 2013. Her mother Julie has since joined her as the trust accountant. Between them they have over 50 years’ experience so you will never be left wondering how to manage any issue.
