We work in a portfolio environment managing approximately 130 properties each, so when you are fully trained you will be working across the full property management role. This is a job where you can truly manage a portfolio, not just react to ad-hoc interruptions all day; as we have front desk support to handle day-to-day contact with tenants and help with routine clerical tasks. We also have a specialist who does all the middle and end-of-month work. This leaves you free to focus on providing the sort of service to our landlords that has made us the success we are today.
You will be stepping into a well-structured existing rent roll, where there is nothing to clean up. Although every day is never the same as the last –which can be a challenge – proven systems are already in place to support you.

Trainee Program focused on professional development
We never underestimate the complexity and sophistication of helping our landlords manage their biggest investment assets. The enormity of their trust means we need finely tuned management and administrative skills that are quite different to other jobs. We don’t leave you to work any of this out for yourself.
The first part of this process is the careful selection of staff to join our team using a sales specific selection tool called Sales Inventory Profile (SIP). While you will not be selling in this role you are managing relationships with our clients and that requires a specific style of person. We offer only the appropriate people a role with us; to ensure you can succeed and become a long-term member of our team.
When you start with us we offer you extensive initial training under the guidance of one of our Senior Property Managers who will show you how to perform each component of the process effectively before expecting you to learn the next. You will also participate in other on-site training with the Senior Property Managers from the other offices as well as attending external training, initially in our systems and then over time to keep you up to date with the industry, all paid for by the office.
All our training is focused on developing your skills and knowledge to allow you to confidently conduct sometimes difficult conversations that result in our landlords making the right decisions, appreciating your input and your professionalism. Our focus is on being our landlords’ advocate, always supporting and working for them. We maintain integrity in all our dealings and show our tenants the respect they deserve, regardless of their circumstances.
Team Spirit and Co-operation
We have learnt to work as a team with great internal systems and specialist staff. Compare our office with those smaller offices where Property Managers are often working alone. With us, no one is expected to be a hero battling alone or unsure of the best course of action. If you get stuck, there is always someone to ask for ideas and a helping hand.
Each of our offices has five to seven Property Managers. This means you are amongst like-minded people, which is nice for comradery and energy on a daily basis and great for sharing the load with people who know what they are doing and can step in to cover each other for holidays and busy times.
