The role 

We are looking for a new business ‘hunter’ to sell our growing property management services within the vibrant and sophisticated Lower North Shore property market.

This role has significantly more appeal than attempting to sell homes as your first sales role in real estate, not least because of this critical fact; Real estate sales careers have a 90% failure rate for ‘rookies’ in their first 24 months. That’s why there are always so many jobs on offer!

Think about it, why would a home owner give somebody they don’t know and who does not have a local track record their most valuable asset to sell? The home owners already know who the local selling stars are (their names and faces are all over the suburb and we have the very first and still leading one at our office) and they want them to sell their home not an unknown. That’s why so many will fail; that’s why so many of the selling roles are largely based on commission; they are expecting you to fail! 


That’s not what’s on offer here! Instead, this is what we are offering you!

Start developing your sales skill, profile and contacts base by selling to new landlords for Property Management which is not a personality driven process. Signing up new landlords is an incredible important function within every Real Estate office as it increases the profile of our entire office within the area and provides the business with a stable cash flow.

Like selling houses this is a full blown new business development role with uncapped income potential. But when landlords consider changing managers they are considering the long term view of performance of the agency and not the strengths of the individual sales person. As a business our track record in the Cammeray area is pristine. They also want the office to be truly local making it easier for us to focus on local activity and be close at hand to respond in a crisis.

So when you are selling Property Management the focus is on the team’s track record and not just you. And we have a property management team with a track record you will be proud to represent.

The business plan you need to have.

We have a clear focussed business plan that guides your business activities step by step to ensure you become effective as quickly as possible. No guess work for you. This plan is underpinned by a clean, up-to-date (i.e. accurate) data base of 3,000 local houses and units to assist you to grow our rent roll.

Career pathway to residential selling.

Once you have mastered the dual skills of prospecting and closing for the Property Management service you will start supporting our sales staff to develop further selling residential property specific skills. This will start with a partnership with one of our experienced sales professionals for 12 months so you have a depth of local sales examples to prove your ability to sell property. Along with helping the senior agent during which year you will also be developing leads in your own territory so you have a ready pipeline of sales when you are ready to work independently.

We sell over 50 (often premium) properties a year so you would be joining a very successful team. You will be ready to sell Real Estate as an established agent in this market with a huge number of local property investors, understanding the local demographic and sales skills you will have acquired specifically in Real Estate along the way.

This role offers a base salary; we don’t want you starving to death while you get up to speed. Our commission structure is uncapped meaning your earning potential is totally up to you and your success!  We have a multi-tiered incentive structure to reward every step of the way.
